Welcome to my Blog.
I am an ex Patriot Brit from the beautiful Isle of Guernsey, in the British Channel Islands.
I have lived and worked for the past 23 years here in the U.S.A.
After stints in California, and 13 years as an over the road Trucker, a massive heart attack, on June 6th 2010, has left me retired on a disability pension in Dayton, Ohio, of all places.
I have been married six times. The latest of these to my beautiful wife Charlotte Rainbow, who now shares this adventure called life with me.
Memories, experiences, and challenges that I have experienced have made me, I think, able to pass on some well earned advice to many people when experiencing the game of life and all its many follies.
Obviously, I have loved much and I have lost some.
My dear parents, George and Joan, who are now sadly departed from us, had taught me much during their time on this planet. Many of the quotes and sayings I will repeat here came from my Father's wise, wickedly sarcastic view of the world that I believe only a hard working life in such a unique place in the world as Guernsey, can instill in a man. It will always be a part of who he was, and in turn who I am.
I happily inherited from him, not only his genetically flawed heart genes, but some of that humor and wit he gladly shared with all who would listen during his all too short 69 years on this planet with us.
That is a brief synopsis of what the reader can expect to find if you chose to join me regularly on this forum. I will take situations and occurrences from life, and attempt to approach them with some wisdom, humor, and hopefully good common sense.
I do not fool myself that I can change the world. I do hope to make it a little more understandable.
